How To Keep Going When You Feel You Can’t-Mastering Self-Discipline
If you’re going through hell, keep going. — Winston Churchill
I used to think people were born disciplined and born successful but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Nobody is born disciplined or successful.
Some people have the advantage of being born with more resources but that’s no indication that they will become successful.
It is through self-discipline people become successful.
Becoming disciplined is challenging. It’s a long road full of ups and downs. The high moments make the work feel worth it. The lows come with questions and self-doubt.
Why am I doing this?
Repeats in my head daily when I start to run or work on a project that’s not in my wheelhouse.
I should quit. I tell myself but something in me says no, keep going. When I tell myself to keep going when it’s tough, I’m being disciplined. I know there is a breakthrough on the other end.
When that moment comes for you know that your dream is on the other side. You’ve been working towards this and it’s one step closer to being yours. You have to keep going.
