I’ve Been Standing in My Own Way of Taking Action

How many books, courses, and articles am I going to read before I start taking action?

--

I’ve been learning skills and reading lots of books as a student. This is good but honestly it’s been me standing in my own. It’s been me fearing change and changing myself. Don’t get me wrong it’s good to be a student, it’s good to read but at some point you have to take action if you want to see results. No amount of reading and learning can replace action, actually using what you read, and learn.

I can’t blame anyone. It’s that there is a lack of effort on my part but there is fear. Fear in failing. Fear in putting myself out there for people to judge me. I have failed because I’ve lived in fear. I have failed by not trying to fail at all. I have failed by putting books, courses and how to articles in the way of what to do.

I have failed by comparing myself to others when the truth is we are all on our own journeys and we all have different starting points. I have to build a new wall and follow myself. I have to do things that I want to do.

I’ve been standing in my own way by thinking that I’m not good enough to be a writer and I need to read every book, take every course, and read every article to become a better writer. But the truth is…
