“You were running a good race. Who stopped you from following the true way?”

Galatians 5:7

There’s a reason why you’re failing.

There’s a reason why you aren’t making progress on your goals.

You stopped playing your game.

You stopped running your race.

You started following the crowd. You started to put an emphasis on reaching your goal in 60 days instead of reaching your goal. You listened to them and thought they were doing it better when they’re trying to figure it out like you.

I get it.

It happens.

Too often we get caught in what other people are doing. Trying to figure how much they charge, how they write, and how they reached their goal.

It’s cool to know, but it can also be a problem.

You start knowing what other people are doing and you start thinking you should be doing it. You get off your path because they tell you something is a “growth hack.”

You start buying things you see they have and try to make the same decisions as them.

That’s the problem with getting caught up in other people’s games.

Think about what happens when your favorite team loses.

The players tell the media they stopped playing their game. They started focusing on what the other team was doing instead of sticking to their game plan.

That’s the best way to lose.

Playing the game other people are playing.

Trying to spend the same money other people are spending.

Trying to make the same decisions other people are making.

You don’t even their situation and why they’re doing it. Stop comparing yourself to other people.

Play your game and focus on your goals.

Don’t get sidetracked by what someone else is doing.

You start losing when you let your decisions be influenced by people playing a different game than you.

Don’t lose.

Define the game you’re playing and keep your actions in line with your game plan.
