What Top Writers Have in Common With Each Other
It’s in their actions, not their words
When I signed up for Medium I wanted to become a top writer. I even wrote a story about it and why claps were important for new writers and asked if I could have my name mentioned with theirs one day.
I would read the work of top writers and take in what they had to say like gospel but looking back what they say is far from the writing gospel. It’s their gospel and what they believe.
Everything they say is debatable and that made me step back and look at their work constructively. I stopped reading their work and looked at what they were doing.
I noticed two things were the same with all top writers. It doesn’t matter what tag or niche you look at, all top writers have these two things in common.
They Write and They Love to Write
This might sound simple and it is, but top writers write. They love writing, it’s their work. Some of them had and still might have a full-time job and they still write. If Medium didn’t pay them the would still write. It’s never been about the money for them.
