When You Can’t Get Out of Bed
We’ve all been there
Last night was tough. You feel overwhelmed by everything that’s going on. You got the news and it wasn’t in your favor, so you don’t want to attack the day like you normally do.
One. It’s okay to feel like that.
Everything is still going to work out for your highest good. Believe that. You won’t be feeling depressed or overwhelmed about the same things six months from now.
Some days will be easier than others, but for the days when getting out of bed is the last thing you want to do, follow these five tips.
1. Start your day with gratitude
Say thank you for being alive today, even if things aren’t looking the best for you. Look for areas in your life where things do look great. Did you eat? Say thank you for the food you have. Did you sleep in a bed last night? Say thank you for your bed. You’re breathing this morning, say thank you for breathing. You have eyes, say thank you for your eyes.
You are here, thank you for being here.
Saying what you are grateful for while still in bed can kick start your day and give you the energy to get out of bed, but you aren’t done.
